How Long Does the Basic Warranty Last?
The Acura standard warranty for new vehicles includes coverage for four years or 50,000 miles1, whichever comes first. This is a bumper-to-bumper warranty that will repair or replace any part that is defective in material or workmanship under normal use, free of charge.
What Does the Powertrain Warranty Cover and How Long Does it Last?
The Acura Powertrain Limited Warranty includes coverage for six years or 70,000 miles1, whichever comes first. It protects components of the engine, transmission, FWD system, or the RWD system, so you can count on long, uninterrupted journeys on Highway 50.
Are Tires Covered Under the New Vehicle Warranty?
Acura does not cover tires under the new vehicle warranty. Instead, tires are covered by their own manufacturer, such as Bridgestone/Firestone, Michelin, Goodyear/Dunlop, and others. So, if one fails as you’re heading toward Flatlick Stream Valley Park, you will need to contact the tire maker. However, our Service Department is more than capable of replacing damaged tires quickly and easily!
What Is Not Covered by the Warranty?
Items not covered include normal wear or deterioration of parts, cleaning and polishing, adding fluids (unless needed as part of a warranty repair), broken or scratched window glass (unless due to a defect), and expendable maintenance items like filters or brake pads when replaced due to normal wear.
Is the Warranty Transferable to a New Owner?
Acura states their warranties are transferable to an unlimited number of owners, as long as it's within the original terms.
Are There Any Additional Special Warranties?
Here are the additional specialty warranties that come with your new Acura. If seat belts don't work or break, Acura will repair them for the first 15 years or 150,000 miles1. Any body panel that rusts from the inside out is covered for repair or replacement for the first 5 years with no mileage limit. All Acura accessories are covered for up to five years with no mileage limit, depending on time of installation. For hybrid models, greater-than-normal high-voltage battery degradation is covered for eight years or 100,000 miles1.
What Is Acura Care?
Acura Care is a vehicle service contract (VSC) that offers "exclusionary coverage," meaning that whatever goes wrong, if it is not on a short list of excluded items, it is covered. Exclusions include body parts, tires, maintenance items, glass, upholstery, trim, carpeting, and ornamentation.
What About Replacement Parts?
Acura Genuine replacement parts purchased from a dealer are covered for at least one year, and Acura Genuine Remanufactured Parts are covered up to three years or 36,000 miles1.
