2026 Acura MDX vs 2025 Lexus TX 350 Washington, DC
One of the easiest ways to grasp just how impressive the 2026 Acura MDX is within the midsize SUV segment is by comparing it to a close competitor. Performance
From a pure power standpoint, the Acura MDX and Lexus TX 350 are within similar proximity, as the former SUV features 290 horsepower and 267 lb.-ft. of torque, while the latter has 275 horsepower and 317 lb.-ft. of torque. They generate these figures with a 3.5L V6 motor and 2.4L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, respectively, and both can also use either standard FWD or available AWD depending on your preference. A 5,000-lb. Maximum towing capacity1 applies to both of these models, so if you’re looking for great hauling capability, then that’ll be a given. One more element that we can’t afford to leave out mention of is the various drive mopeds that each vehicle utilizes. The MDX has Normal, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Snow, Lift, and the fully customizable Individual settings. When you compare that to the Normal, Eco, Sport, and Custom options of the TX 350, the difference is clear.
Cabin
It’s no secret that SUVs are major sellers for the accommodating interiors that they can provide. With the 2025 Lexus TX 350, you’ll be able to enjoy a standard 8-way or available 10-way power-adjustable driver’s chair that can feature an optional 4-way power lumbar adjustment as well. However, that comes up short against the 2026 Acura MDX’s standard 12-way power adjustable driver’s seat and its available 16-way power-adjustable component that also includes power lumbar support, a thigh extension, side bolster, and 9-way massage function. Both models have a standard position memory for their pilot’s chair to let you conveniently save your preferred position for a trip to Lincoln Park, but only the Acura model will treat your copilot to the same luxury with its available three-position front passenger seat memory. To add to that, the MDX alone will give those in the second row access to standard 4-way manual seats as well.
Audio and Multimedia
Do you enjoy listening to some quality entertainment when you’re cruising along I-66 on the weekend? Both the 2026 MDX and 2025 TX 350 feature wireless Apple CarPlay®2 and Android Auto™3, so you’ll be able to connect your smartphone device to the infotainment system directly.
